Here are the roles that make up the MDC team

Project Manager

Project Managers act as the link between clients and developers/designers. They make sure the work gets done properly and on time, while also keeping detailed notes about the project’s progress and meetings.

Responsibilities: 

  • Set up meetings with clients 
  • Get the necessary information required for the designers/developers to be able to do their part. 
  • Ensure project deadlines are met 
  • Must be able to work well with team members 
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking 
  • Must be able to delegate tasks within the team 

Web Designer / Developer

Website designers and developers are responsible for designing and (if experienced) building websites for clients.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with a Project Manager to fulfil a project request 
  • Design the look and feel of a website either from scratch, or matching the client’s branding guidelines. 
  • Create website prototypes using a prototyping tool (ex: Figma) 
  • Present wireframes and flow to the internal team and to the clients 
  • Experience in programming or with Wix, Webflow or WordPress a big plus!  
  • Able to learn quickly and work collaboratively with a team 
  • Must have past experience with web design 
  • Can assist other designers and developers with their projects if both parties are interested in the collaboration. 

Graphic Designers

Graphic designers work on a variety of projects including logos, banners, stickers, branding material, etc. Their work depends on what the project calls for, and some designers may specialize in logo design while others may specialize in branding design.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with a Project Manager to fulfil a project request 
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. is a big plus, but not required. 
  • Must be able to work well with team members 
  • Must have past experience with graphic Design 
  • Can assist other designers and developers with their projects if both parties are interested in the collaboration. 

UI/UX Designer

UI and UX designers are a new group of designers at MDC. They are tasked with designing app interfaces and (if experience permits) helping build those apps.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with a Project Manager to fulfil a project request 
  • Design the look and feel of an app or product either from scratch, or matching the client’s branding guidelines. 
  • Projects can include web apps, iOS apps, Android apps, or desktop apps. 
  • Create app prototypes using a prototyping tool (ex: Figma) 
  • Present wireframes and flow to the internal team and to the clients 
  • This position requires more experience than other design positions at MDC therefore UI/UX designers are expected to have experience designing apps 
  • Able to learn quickly and work collaboratively with a team 
  • Can assist other designers and developers with their projects if both parties are interested in the collaboration.
